Iā€™m Andres Garcia, owner and operator of Village Anglers.  I'm a 37 year old 5th generation New Mexican with a love for New Mexico and all of its wonderful trout waters.  But, most dear to my heart is its premier trout stream, The San Juan River.  I grew up fishing with my dad all over the state, that was vacation back then.  But we spent a lot of my childhood on the many high mountain trout streams in Northern New Mexico.  I still remember the fireside tales of his 26" inch San Juan rainbow as I looked down at my quarry on my plate, seeing mostly plate...  I wasn't quite ready yet, the water was cold and it ran quite a bit higher back then.

Funny how a boat and a few droughts change things... Which brings me back to the present.  I have been lucky enough to be blessed with amazing wife, Paula, and three tail chasing children, Maddilyn, Sophia and Charlie.  If you see a family of five with Goose (our dog) floating around; Probably a good chance it is us.  But most often if not operating with clients, I cannot pass up a day with my Dad and 10 year old daughter Maddilyn, or if you ever get to fish with her, "Fish".  It's not a coincidence. She can flat out fish.  The just of it is I love being out on the water chasing the big gnarly fish the Juan holds.  Boat or wading, summer or winter; I'd love the opportunity to share a very special place, create some lasting memories, and if we're lucky enough catch a "San Juan Wall Hanger".
